SOUTHERN PECAN PIE
 

Yield: 9-inch pie

 

3 eggs

1 cup sugar

1 cup dark corn sirup, such as Karo blue label

1 cup chopped pecans

1 tsp. vanilla

Dash of salt

 

Method

 

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

2. Beat eggs in large mixing bowl for about 2 minutes. 

3. Add remaining ingredients and stir until grainy sound of 

sugar is gone. 

4. Pour mixture into center of an unbaked 9-inch pie shell. 

5. Mixture levels itself. 

6. Bake for 1 hour. 

7. Cool for 10 minutes on wire rack.
