We had quite a time for Thanksgiving trying to find pumpkin for the
gingerbread pumpking trifle. We finally found a can in the organic section
of our largest grocery store. Also you might be able to find frozen pumpkin.
Our store also had some of the frozen.

There's a pumpkin shortage, something to do with the weather last summer
in the midwest, I believe. You can use canned squash or fresh butternut
squash that you have boiled.
