BRUSSELS SPROUTS WITH GARLIC

Cooking time: 8 minutes. 1/4 c. water 2 tbsp. butter 1 clove garlic, minced
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Discard any dry outside leaves from sprouts. Trim stems. Using small sharp
knife, cut a shallow "X" in stem end of each sprout. Combine sprouts and
water
in 1 quart microproof casserole. Cover with casserole lid and cook
(microwave) on high 7 minutes. Set aside, still covered. Combine butter and
garlic in
1 cup glass measure and cook (microwave) on high, 1 minute. Drain water from
sprouts. Add butter mixture, salt and pepper and toss lightly to coat. Add
cheese and toss again. Serve hot. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
