The UPS and USPS websites allow you to calculate shipping charges. They can
be quite high, or at least higher than we might expect for a given item. An
example is the 40% for so extra charge UPS makes for delivering to a private
residence. Don't forget, too, that the seller has to pay for shipping
supplies and the cost of taking the item to UPS or the post office or having
them picked up. With the new rates now in effect, it's going to get even
worse.

that sucks! I am always amazed when that S&H is added. I just placed an
order that added up to be $7.98 and S&H was $7.92! I had to stop and
really think... is this a bargain? I did order the 3 items but sheesh!
The 3 items probably don't weigh even half a pound.. I don't get how
companies figure out S&H. NO rime or reason to me and that is all mail
order places.

Blind Mice mart is wonderful but Canadian shoppers have to pay shipping
