I don't consider it's really Stroganoff if it doesn't have sour cream.  A 
bit of sherry and nutmeg help lots.  Hamburger meat or steak with cream of 
mushroom soup is OK, but I doubt if you really need the cream cheese.

CROCKETTE STROGANOFF



3/4 lb. round steak

1/4 cup flour

1/2 tsp. dried garlic bits

1/4 tsp. pepper

1/8 tsp. salt

1/2 of a (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup water

1/2 small onion, chopped

2 Tbsp. butter

1 tsp. soy sauce

1 beef bouillon cube

4 oz. cream cheese, cut in cubes

cooked wide noodles (for serving)



Cut steak into 1x1/2 inch strips. Mix with flour, garlic, pepper, and

salt. Add to crockette with rest of ingredients except cream cheese.



Cover and cook for 4 hours. Stir occasionally. Last 1/2 hour, add the

cream cheese.



Serve over cooked wide noodles.
