Hello,

I personally don't care for the talking microwaves, because they don't all talk on all the settings if you needed to set it for a certain time longer than the 5 minute button that does speak. It also seems that the unit isn't that big compared to a regular microwave.

As far as a range goes, GE still makes models with knobs for the burners as well as the oven temp controls. I purchased one back in 2008, and it had these knobs still. It also was a self cleaning model with an automatic preset time to clean without having to set a clock and timer. These can be found at stores like..Lowes, Home Depot, and of course at GE web site.

I have a friend who has recent low vision and is wondering if anyone can suggest a good range for her?

Also, I may need to get a new microwave. I've never used a talking one, wonder if people like them and if so, what is a good price and good vendor for a full size one?

Thanks.
Sharon
