Hi Patricia,
The Pen Friend labels are self adhesive.
If you want to use the same labels over and over, you can re-record a
different message at a later date.
The reason I put the small ones onto magnets is to adhere them to the
top of cans, so that they can be removed after opening the can and
recorded again when put onto a different can. The small magnets,
about the size of a finger nail are abailable from Dollar stores, or
whatever your equivalent is called in the U.S.
I also will put a larger label onto an index card and clip that to a
box or document, rather than sticking it directly onto a package or
paper, so that I can use the same sticker more than once
I'm just economical, I guess!
The Pen comes with 125 labels and it's surprising how quickly I
used them up when I labelled everything in the kitchen cupboard and
also in the freezer, plus all kinds of other things. Already I am
using the second set of labels. Sets A, B, C, can be purchased for
about $25 or $30 each, I think. My brother in England sent me the
second set as a gift.
The amount of time used depends how long you make your
recordings. For food, I just say what the item is and the date,
which would be about 10 seconds.
. If you'd like any further information or ideas, drop me a line off
List if you wish.

Original message:
I saw it today but wonder about the stickers included with the
purchase. They were still in the sealed package. Do they have
adhesive on them or do I need to get something (if so, what?) to
attach them to things. I know someone on this list mentioned
magnets; from where can those be purchased? The device indicates
that it has 70 hours of recording time. What happens once that is
completed? That is a lot of time, to be sure. How much time is used
on each sticker?
Thanks.
Sharon
