Pecan Meltaways

1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup chopped pecans
additional confectioners' sugar

In a large bowl, cream the butter, sugar, and vanilla.  Combine the flour and 
salt.  Add to the creamed mixture.  Stir in the pecans. Cover and chill until 
easy to handle.  Roll into 1-inch balls.  Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased  
baking sheets.  Bake at 350 F for 10-12 minutes.  Roll in the confectioners' 
sugar while  still warm.  Cool.  Roll in the sugar again.  
Makes about 4 dozen
