Do you think if I have sweeten apple sauce I could cut the sugar by 1/2 cups? It sounds pretty sweet with the marshmellows.

Sift dry ingredients together. Set aside. In a large bowl, mix together shortening, eggs and applesauce. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Beat until smooth and well blended. Pour batter into a greased and floured 13" X 9" cake pan. Press whole marshmallows into the batter and to the bottom of the pan. The 20 marshmallows are placed four rows of five each. During baking, the marshmallows will melt and rise to the top, making a frosting. Bake for about 50 minutes. _______________________________________________ Cookinginthedark mailing list [email protected] http://acbradio.org/mailman/listinfo/cookinginthedark _______________________________________________ Cookinginthedark mailing list [email protected] http://acbradio.org/mailman/listinfo/cookinginthedark
