CHEWY MARSHMALLOW BROWNIES

 

INGREDIENTS:

 

1/2 c. butterscotch morsels

1/4 c. butter or margarine

3/4 c. all-purpose flour

1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar

1 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1 egg, slightly beaten

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

1 c. semisweet chocolate morsels

1 c. miniature marshmallows

1/2 c. chopped pecans

 

DIRECTIONS:

 

  Combine butterscotch morsels and butter/margarine in a small 

saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until 

morsels melt; set aside. Combine the next 4 ingredients; add 

butterscotch mixture, egg, and vanilla, mixing well. Stir in 

chocolate morsels, marshmallows, and pecans. Spread mixture in 

greased 9-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

(Brownies will havea chewy texture.) Cool and cut into squares. 

Yield: 3 dozen.
