hi,

When you are using this deep fryer, you don't put the plastic lid on it until the fryer cools off completely. if you do, the plastic lid will melt. The lid is for storage if you want to save the oil for the next time.

Subject: [CnD] OT: Presto Dual Daddy Deep Fryer

Hello,

Someone recently mentioned that they have this particular deep fryer. I just purchased this from
www.walmart.com
and, I have a few questions.

It's a little different than what I imagined. The body feels like it's cast iron, and the reason I was attracted to this unit was because of the dual frying capacity. There is a metal divider that divides the container into two equal parts, in which you can fry two separate things, at the same time. However, there are no temperature controls, and the unit is covered with a plastic lid that concerns me because I would think the unit gets pretty hot. The AC cord comes out of the unit completely, so I imagine this could be a good thing.
Is this description similar to what those of you who have this unit have?
Thanks.

I also don't know how much oil I need to add, in order to fry the food, such as chicken and French fries, etc.
