Subject: [CnD] Pizza Pan Differences?

Hi,

Why are there two different types of pizza pans, on the market? One has holes on the bottom, and one does not? What is the purpose of the holes?

I personally don't like that style because, if whatever foods you're placing on them make crumbs while baking, those crumbs fall through the pizza pan holes and land on your oven floor, thus causing that burnt smell!

I was at Walmart today and was surpirsed by the prices of pizza pans, $8.97 for a nonstick one, and they had both the solid surface ones and the ones with the holes throughout the bottom surface. I opted for the one with the solid surface.
