Hi, I'm not sure if anyone else has sent in a recipe so I'm sending in the one 
I have. I think I might have gotten it from this list a number of years ago.
I haven't tried this recipe.
Sour Cream Pound Cake

 

Serves 6-8

 

1 cup/8oz shortening  [crisco]

3 cups/1-1/2 pounds sugar

6 eggs

3 cups/12oz all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon soda

1 cup/8fl oz sour cream

1 teaspoon vanilla

 

Method:

 

1. Cream shortening and sugar together. 

2. Add slightly beaten whole eggs one at a time, beat well after each egg.

3. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with sour cream and 
vanilla. 

4. The more you beat the better the cake is. 

5. Bake in tube pan for 1 and 1/2 hours at 300-325 degrees.
