I also have the 5 Qt. bowl Kitchenaid stand mixer and have had it for many years. The bowl has a handle which makes it easy to hold and pour from. It is easy to operate; the beater, whisk and dough hook go in easily. Although the bowl is deep, you can do almost anything in it from a small amount to a large batch of something. Hope this helps.
