Yes Kathy they do stay firm. I forgot to tell you if you happen to get
bananas that are completely green don't place them right in to your
refrigerator. The reason is they will stay firm, and you will not be able
to eat them. My husband and I found this out the hard way. LOL

This is going to sound crazy but I put my bananas in a bag an place them
in
the refrigerator. They will turn brown on the out side but I promise they
will last longer. Also when I buy them I get the half green and the half
yellow.
