Almond Toffee Brownies

  

Ingredients 

1/2  cup butter or margarine 

1  cup sugar 

4   eggs 

1  16-ounce can chocolate-flavored syrup (1-1/2 cups) 

1-1/4  cups all-purpose flour 

1-1/2  cups almond toffee pieces 

1  cup miniature semisweet chocolate pieces 

1  cup coarsely chopped pecans, toasted 

 

Directions 

1. Grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan.  

 

2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter for 30 seconds. Add the sugar 

and beat until fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Stir in the chocolate 

syrup. Stir in the flour. (Batter will look curdled.)  

 

3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake in a 350 degree F oven 

about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of brownies 

comes out clean.  

 

4. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine toffee pieces, chocolate pieces, 

and pecans. After removing pan from the oven, immediately sprinkle 

mixture evenly over top. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Cut into bars. 

Makes 32 brownies.  Enjoy.
