Hi Jude, Thank you for your interest in the NuWave. Here are some of the questions you had about the NuWave Oven, I hope this helps. You can call us for your order at 1-888-689-2831 Monday thru Friday 8am to 6pm Central Standard Time. Due to the holidays the wait time is a little longer than average. There are multiple buttons, the numbers are displayed on the panel similar to a phone. To the far right there are an additional two columns, going from left to right we have Cook Time, Start, next row; Power level, Pause and final row, Reheat (infomercial models) or Timer Only (retail models). We have had a number of customers that are legally blind and have found the oven to be very easy to use. Another great feature about the NuWave is you do not have to worry about leaning into an oven as this appliance can go directly on your table or countertop. Another great feature is once you enter in the time to cook, when it is done the oven shuts off. Please note our oven goes by minutes and hours, NOT seconds. For example, if you were to type in 4 minutes you would press Cook Time, the number 4 and then start. We even have had a gentleman teach blind students how to use the NuWave and he is located in NB. His wife is also blind and one of our recipes on our recipe cards (pumpkin muffins) is from this family. The family I mentioned above actually placed brail information directly on the display and they have been using the NuWave since 2005. I hope this helps and feel free to contact us if you have any additional information. If you go to Nuwaveoven.net and click on accessories, you can download in a PDF the manual. My first reading and writing language was Braille. So I'm curious. Phone number for ordering is shown but never spoken on the infomercial. Also, the control for the oven that sets power level and time and turns oven on and off, is the control surface a single membrane or more than one button? Whichever it is will control whether I can make my own braille labels for the buttons or need to have a sighted person apply these braille labels for me. This is one product that has no accessibility reviews so far as I've been able to locate. When I get my copy of the oven I'll spend some time reading material on the website and doing cooking and then post the review to the cookinginthedark email list on [email protected]. I could get a control for your oven brailled and then send that back to the company but would only do that if hearthware.com would be willing to consider making a brailled control available for others. _______________________________________________ Cookinginthedark mailing list [email protected] http://acbradio.org/mailman/listinfo/cookinginthedark
