PECAN SANDIES COOKIES 

 

2 c. butter, softened

1 c. powdered sugar

2 tbsp. water

4 tsp. vanilla

4 c. all-purpose flour

2 c. chopped pecans

additional powdered sugar

 

Cream together butter and sugar. Add water and vanilla; mix well. Gradually add 
flour. Fold in pecans.

 

 Roll dough into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased

baking sheets and flatten slightly.

 

Bake at 300°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until the cookies are a light golden. 
This will vary according to the size of the cookies and your oven.

 

Cool on wire rack. When cool, dust with powdered sugar.  Enjoy.  Marilyn
