I'm not sure exactly how you would substitute solid for liquid ingredients, but 
if you decide to add the cream cheese, (which I think would be quite good), I 
would cut the oil down to 1/2 cup.  Otherwise, your cake might be too greasy in 
texture, and it also might be too moist and hard to handle.
