Hello Friends,
This is how I use my Pen Friend to label items in the freezer.
I bought a bunch of bag closers from the dollar store, narrow plastic clips that are about 6 inches long, and I put the item in a plastic bag, put one of the small roung labels on the smooth side at the opposite end to the clip of the bag closure, record the information, such as what it is, date, etc and then stack them in the freezer. I find that elastic bands come off so don't put brailled labels in the freezer. Leftovers go in various shapes and sizes of plastic containers so bagging the container with a clip on it works best for me. For cans in the kitchen cupboards I have a PF label on a magnet on the lid of the can where there is no paper label as they stick better there. Jars with metal lids have the same system. After using the item, I just remove the nagnetic label and put it on the inside of a flat tin to over-record for the next use. For cardboard packets in the cupboard I put a PF label on a small index card and attach to the box with an elastic band, or use the bag system. I've had my PF for a year now and always re-use each label again and again, as I never attach the label directly to the food item. Hope these explanations all make sense to you. If not, please ask further.
Best wishes to everyone on the List for 2011.

Happy New year everyone!
I received a PenFriend for and was wondering if anyone can make a
recommendation on using it for labling food items in the freezer if that is
possible.
