There is 8 ounces in one cup for liquids. If you are measureing solids like chocolate chips then there will be a slight variation. In Canada we use metric so sometimes imperial to metric convertions make the actual quanity of a substance slightly smaller or larger. For me the more flavoured chips the better! (smile) Donald
