I thought the packet only called for one can of tomato sauce, not two. That

Hi,
My other half made chili yesterday; we used a McCormick original chili
packet. We used a pound of ground round, one can of undrained kidney
beans, two cans tomato sauce & onion. This is what it said to do, on the
back of the chili packet.
It came out a little soupy, though. What can we do differently next time?
It might also be important to know that we made it in the crockpot!
