Hi Florence, I'm not Helen, but I can tell you how I toast all nuts. I put them on a paper plate, or a glass pie dish, in the microwave, and microwave on high for 2 minutes. If they're not as dark or fragrant as I want them, I continue microwaving at 30 second intervals until they're toasted to the point I want. It's a lot easier than toasting in the oven or in a stove-top skillet, but I have done that too. To toast in the oven, place in a single layer in a cake pan and bake at 350 for 8 to 15 minutes, checking occasionally to see how they're progressing. Your nose is your best source of information about toasted nuts! HTH, Penny Later.
