One thing I would not do is to use snow from outside to make this. World-wide we have very bad atmosphere. Better to make a large container of boiling salt water and put it into a freezer with a glass top and close the door and leave it in the freezer for a while. Of course, the freezer will have to be completely cleaned before any of this is done because you'll find your manufactured snow outside the pot on the bottom of the freezer.
