Gosh interesting that this is a Saint Patrick's day recipe.  We don't eat it at 
that time of year but at Halloween.  At Halloween people sometimes bake a cheap 
ring, or coins into the brac.  Legend says that the person who finds the ring 
is the next to get engaged/married.

*disclaimer*  If you decide to bake rings or coins into this cake, warn those 
who eat slices lest they swallow such things.
