I don't know if any of you go to the tastefully simple website but I have
ordered from there and have had several parties as well. What I did here is to
use my scanner to read the boxes with the recipes on them. I thought I might
share these with you. Hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

Tastefully Simple Recipes:
1. Nana's Apple Cake:
Preparation
2 cups chopped apples
(any variety, peeled or unpeeled)
2 large eggs
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
. Preheat oven to 350°.
. Combine ingredients in large bowl; stir until mixed.
. Spread batter in greased 8x8 baking pan or 10-inch deep-dish pie plate.
. Bake 45-55 minutes.
. Cool and serve. Makes about 9 servings.
*Egg substitute may be used.
High Altitude: Add 2 tablespoons of water with other ingredients.
Nana s Cherry Cobbler
Nana's Apple Cake Mix % cup (1 stick) chilled butter
21 oz. can cherry pie filling**
. Preheat oven to 350°.
. Pulse Nana's Apple Cake Mix and butter in food processor or blender until
coarse crumbs. Place pie filling in greased 8x8 baking pan; sprinkle with crumb
topping.
. Bake 45-50 minutes or until lightly browned.
. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream. Makes about 9 servings.
2. Cinnamon Muffin Melt Mix:
Preparation:
1 cup water
1 stick butter
. Preheat oven to 400°.
. Combine Muffin mix packet with water; blend well.
. Divide batter evenly among 12 greased muffin cups. (Paper liners are not
recommended.)
. Bake 16-18 minutes.
. Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
. Melt butter in shallow bowl. Place contents of Cinnamon packet in separate
shallow bowl. Sparingly coat each warm muffin
in butter; immediately roll in Cinnamon coating.
. Cool completely. Makes 12 muffins.
High Altitude: Add 2 tablespoons flour and 1 additional tablespoon water to
batter.
Variations
Add M cup raisins, pecans, dried cranberries or peeled, chopped apple to batter
before baking.
Bake mini-muffins at 400° for 10-11 minutes. Makes 30 mini-muffins.

Bountiful beer bread:
12 ounces (beer or any non-alcoholic beverage
1 pouch Beer Bread Mix
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly spray 5 x 9-inch metal loaf pan) with
nonstick cooking spray. Pour beverage into large bowl. Add bread mix; mix just
until dry ingredients are moistened. (Do not overmix.)
2. Spoon batter into pan-, drizzle with butter, if desired. Bake 50-55 minutes
for metal pan) or until fork in serted in center comes out clean and top is
golden brown. Cool bread in pan 5 minutes; remove from pan. Serve warm or cool.
Yield-. 12 servings
VARIATIONS:
Cheesy Salsa Bread: Substitute 1 cup water for
the beverage. Add bread mix, 1/2 cup salsa,
!/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese and
2 teaspoon chili powder. Proceed as recipe directs.
Apple Nut Bread: Use sparkling apple cider. Add bread mix, V2 cup chopped
apple, V4 cup chopped pecans and 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Proceed as
recipe directs.
COOK'S TIPS:
For variety, substitute 12 ounces of your favorite flavored sparkling water,
carbonated soft drink or fruit juice for the beverage.
To prepare in Stoneware Mini Loaf Pan, lightly spray wells of pan with nonstick
cooking spray. Spoon
3/4 cup batter into each well; drizzle with butter, if desired. Bake 45-50
minutes or until cake tester inserted in centers of loaves comes out clean and
tops are golden brown.
That recipe came from The Pampered Chef when I bought it a long time ago.
Oooops!!! Oh well, still the same recipe and some great variations.
4. Creamy wild rice soup:
freparation
5 cups hot water
. Whisk soup mix into hot water*.
. Simmer, covered, 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do not boil.
. Makes about 5 servings.
*Rice grains may appear lighter and dotted when cooked due to a process that
cracks the hull of the grain, allowing it to cook more quic
Variations
. Add sauteed mushrooms or onions.
. Stir in cooked chicken, turkey, ground beef, sausage or ham.
. Garnish with slivered almonds and chopped fresh parsley.
juggestions
. Excellent with Bountiful Beer Bread or Perfect Parmesan Biscuits.
. For slow cooker preparation, heat on low for
2-3 hours.
5. Carrot Cake Crunch Cheese Ball Mix:
Preparation
1 8 oz. softened cream cheese
Combine contents of Packet 1 with cream cheese. Chill 2 hours or until firm.
Shape into a ball; roll in
intents of Packet 2. Serve with Twisty Grahams
6. Warm Spinach and artichoke dip:
Preparation
1 packet Artichoke & Spinach Warm Dip Mix
8 oz. softened cream cheese*
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese, divided
. Combine Artichoke & Spinach Warm Dip Mix, cream cheese and Vfe cup Swiss
cheese.
. Place in microwave-safe dish; heat in microwave on high at 30-second
intervals (stirring after each) until heated through.
. Sprinkle remaining Swiss cheese over top; microwave an additional 30-60
seconds or until cheese melts.
. If desired, place warm dip in an oven-safe dish and broil until browned.
. Serve with chips, crackers, sliced French bread or cubed Bountiful Beer
Bread®.
. Makes about 1 to 2 cups dip.
