SCRUMPTIOUS RICE KRISPIE TREATS
1 (6 oz.) bag (1 c.) peanut butter morsels
1/2 c. peanut butter
4 c. Rice Krispies
1 tbsp. water
1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) chocolate chip morsels
1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
2 tbsp. butter, softened
Melt peanut butter morsels with peanut butter in heavy saucepan
over low heat, stirring constantly until well blended. Remove from heat. Add
Rice Krispies, stirring well until coated. Press
half the mixture into buttered 8x8x2 inch pan. Chill in
refrigerator while you prepare fudge mixture. Set remaining cereal aside.
Combine chocolate morsels, sugar, butter, and water into double boiler until
chocolate melts and it is well blended. Spread over chilled cereal mixture.
Spread remaining cereal mixture evenly
over top. Press in gently. Chill. Remove from refrigerator 10 minutes before
cutting into squares.
