Hi All,
This was the chili I chose to make, since it was my first time, and it
looked easy.
Let me just say that I'm not really a fan of chili, but again, I'm
trying to broaden the family's spectrum of foods.
I really liked this recipe; I only used one onion, and since the chili
was still somewhat watery, I used the optional can of tomato sauce, in
order to thicken it!
I have a four-court crockpot, and I used almost 3 pounds of ground
round. It is quite tasty! I have 3 containers full, so I've frozen two
& will probably take some to my parents' house tomorrow.

Amanda's Slow Cooker Favourite chili
Makes 6 servings
2 16 oz. cans red kidney beans, drained
2 14!/2 oz. cans diced tomatoes
2 lbs. ground beef , browned and drained
2 medium onions, coarsely chopped
1 green pepper coarsely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2-3 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. pepper
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker in order listed. Stir
once.
2. Cover. Cook on low 10 to 12 hours, or high 5 to 6 hours.
Variations:
1. Top individual servings with green onions, sour cream, and
cheese.
2. Increase proportion of tomatoes in chili by adding 8 oz. can
tomato sauce before cooking,
