Hi,
I'm currently making this recipe; however, I deviated from it a
little. I thought about lemon bars and added lemon extract to the cream
cheese & egg mixture. When I did that however, it made the batter a
little thinner than I would have liked, so I added another package of
cream cheese.
Do you all think this will work, and should I add baking time, since I
have more batter?
Finally, the cream cheese mixture was smooth but had little lumps in it,
due to the cream cheese. Should this happen because it seemed that I
couldn't get all of the little lumps out and that it wouldn't get
completely smooth?

CHEESE SQUARES
Cabot Star-Herald 06-16-04
1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup chopped pecans
1 stick butter (softened)
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well using a wooden
spoon. Grease and flour a 9 X 13 X 2 pan, spread mixture evenly then
set aside.
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese (softened)
2 eggs
1 box powdered sugar
Mix the cream cheese and eggs until smooth then add sugar. Pour this
over the first mixture. Bake at 350 for 35 mins. Cool and cut into
squares.
