Sell the oven because you cannot get the cookbook brailled? That seems a
bit extreme if it's what you're suggesting.
There are people who braille things as an occupation. They advertise
online, too, in some cases. You might check into it with a search engine,
or check in magazines for the blind such as The Matilda Ziegler, The Braille
Forum and The Braille Monitor. Also, if you subscribe to an Email list that
offers by and for blind people, post a request there. Another option is to
use a program such as Open Book with a scanner to get the information. Some
of these OCR programs have a braille transcribing feature, and if you know
someone who has, or you have, a braille embosser, you might get a braille
copy that way. HTH.
