My mother-in-law used to take those canned biscuits and quarter each of them and dump them into a kettle of boiling chicken broth; do not crowd them. That is all I know, since I do not like them, and have never prepared them. I guess they rise up to the top when cooked through; I am unsure if the pot should be covered or uncovered during the cooking time, but she used the quartered canned biscuits, even those big Grands buttermilk ones.
