This one is fairly easy, just omit the pasta and parm.

FIRST CLASS PASTA SAUCE

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
1 large garlic clove, crushed
1 (28 oz.) can whole, peeled tomatoes and juice
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
1 c. water
1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 lb. cooked, drained pasta
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Brown ground beef with onion and garlic in large saucepan. Drain fat. Cut up
tomatoes; add

tomatoes and juice, tomato paste, water, mushrooms, bay leaf, oregano, basil,
salt and

pepper. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat and cook, uncovered, stirring
occasionally, 30 minutes.

Remove bay leaf. Serve over cooked pasta. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Makes 8 servings.
