Yes to this for me as well. I've had my Sharp for just over 10 years and it still has the original labels I made with a slate and clear dymo tape. The Number one is missing, and the label for the beverage setting is folded over and the 6 and 8 accidentally got reversed by some helpful sighted person when they were cleaning, <grin> but other than that, the labels are all present and accounted for. I've got the numpad, start , the clear/stop button labeled, plus I've got the quick setting buttons labeled with three letter abbreviations, so the whole panel has basically been covered since I started using it.

there are some functions I can't access, and the clock is in a constant state of blinking, but the turntable is about 16 inches round and it's an 1100 watt microwave, so larger and more powerful than the talking ones I've seen, so I'm willing to settle for now.

I brailled all my microwave ovens with dymo tape and the Braille has stuck
to the oven for years and years.

Subject: [CnD] A Full Size Microwave Oven

This message is for Dale, but it is for anyone else who might be able to be
of help.

The March Madness special on Microwave Ovens is great for one person who
lives in an apartment. The oven that is offered by the Mice is way too
small. We need a larger microwave oven that will fit perfectly above our
range. We have limited counter space.

If anyone would know where we can get a large Microwave oven with a braille
pannel that would be great.

In 1986, about a year after my wife and I were married, we went to Sears in
Cincinnati. Sears was able to get a microwave with a braille pannel on it
and I loved it. When the oven went bad and we had to replace it, Sears said
the company that made the pannels stopped making them.

If anyone including Dale knows where I can get a good microwave oven that is
large and user-friendly to sightless people, let me know.
