Hi bill,

I grew up with fried corn bread. I don't have a recipe per se, but here are
some general guidelines.

Plain Corn meal (try a cup for starters), buttermilk (may use milk),, a
little water to adjust the consistency, one egg, heaping tablespoon of mayo,
a pinch of salt. Form the mixture into patties and fry in vegetable oil. I
like it thin and crispy. I'll ask some of my kin who make it regularly to
see if I can get more specifics, but most of them just make it without a
recipe so who knows?

Subject: [CnD] fried Corn bread recipe

Hello,
does anyone have a recipe for fried corn bread? I remember having it when I
was a student at the Kentucky School for the Blind back in the late 1960's.
a house parent made it. so if anyone has a recipe for It I would appreciate
it. I guess I am going down memory lane. Thanks in advance.
