It's better to do your own meat grinding at home. The strange taste from the store's product happens because the grinder isn't cleaned before grinding what you buy. The bugs have had time to get into the store's meat grinder and feast. It's possible the grinding starts before they get themselves out, but they'll have left feces in the grinder in any case.
