Another thought is to use appliances that don't heat up the kitchen too much. Microwaves, crock pots or slow cookers, and George Forman grills come to mind. Also, how about a barbecue or, even better, a smoker that is outdoors. Once you get the smoker going, you can stay indoors while the food cooks outside, and the results are excellent. During the hot summer, how about a huge salad, or fruit salad? If you have the money and transportation, fast food or restaurants?
