Hi, this book can be found on Web Braille, the author is Evelyn Raab,
and the publisher is Firefly Books, print copyright 1998, produced in
Braille by Braille International Inc, 1999.  I am referencing p 42 in
volume I.
I have never bought buttermilk, unless I was making a huge batch of something.

Measure about a tbsp (15 ML) of vinegar into a measuring cup.  Fill
the cup to the one cup mark (250 ML) with milk, and stir.  Let it sit
for about 5 minutes before using.  You can do this anytime you come
across a recipe that calls for soured milk or buttermilk.
