You need a bread slicing box. Royal National Institute For The Blind had one of these in their games and aparatus catalog and if it's not discontinued you'll only get uniform slices out of it. The whole loaf is sliced at once with these boxes. Short of that, a bread slicing knife with wide serrations on it and about a foot in length may help some.
