I think they pulled out of Texas altogether, as we lost them in Dallas as
well. There are services who will shop for you, but around here they're very
expensive, and the main one has a limit on how much they'll get in a single
load, making their service charge too high for use unless you have a pump
handle in your house that pumps out cash every time you use it.
That said, Aldi will, if you arrange it with them, shop for you. You fax
them a list, and give them one day advance, and then they'll have everything
waiting for you. This can reduce the time required for someone helping you
shop, and it's an excellent way to at least shorten this task. I'm looking
into other chains to find out if they will also help -- my immediate targets
are Kroger, Albertson's, Target, and Wal-mart. (I'll probably also give
Sprouts and the natural grocery chain often referred to as "Whole Paycheck"
a try as well)

Subject: [CnD] Tried Pea Pod? Re: SHOPPING FOR GROCERIES ON Amazon

Have you tried Pea Pod for groceries.
Unfortunately, they are not in every market.
Visit Peapod.com.
You can check on line by entering your zip code to see if they are in your
area.
If they are available in your area, they are an easy and great way to shop.
I used them all the time until they pulled out of Houston.
Tim and Cheryl use them in Boston.
They charge a small fee and 1 or 2 percent of your order total.
All in all, on an order of about 250 dollars, the fee was under 10 dollars.
That is well worth it to me not to have to go to the store.
If you get something you are not happy with like produce, they will take it
back at the time of delivery.
they even will help put things away...or at least they did here when I used
to use hem.
