Okay, I wasn't sure. I should have said that they are thick cloth with silicone 
for grip, heat-proof up to 500 degrees. I was writing on the iPod and did not 
explain fully. Because of the special materials used in these gloves, I was not 
sure if soap and/or water would damage them. I'll toss them in the dish washer 
tomorrow then. Thanks.
