Hi, Claudia, I have never made Pumpkin roll, but, when my mother made her Bouche de Noel, she would invert the cake to be rolled on a towel sprinkled with powdered sugar; then roll the towel and cake together so when it cooled, it was all ready to fill after unrolling it again.
