TEA Balls

 

2 sticks of butter

 

1/2 cup Plus 1 box  powdered sugar

two cups all purpose flour

2 tbs ice water

one teaspoon of vanilla

1 tablespoon of almond flavoring

2 cups pecans finely chopped

dash of salt

 

pour box of powdered sugar into a gallon zip loc bag and set aside.

soften the butter, mix all other ingredients together by hand  except pecans.  
Then work in the butter.  this will be hard to mix.  Add the nuts and chill 
until batter is firm. use a teaspoon to dip out batter and roll into a ball 
about the size of a walnut.  place on a ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 275 
degrees for 30 minutes.  

Place tea balls into zip loc bag of powdered sugar ans shake well while tea 
balls are still hot.
