I cook chicken wings with my favorite BBQ sauce ... Whole Foods Market's bone sucking good. This doesn't work too well if you want finger foods. For those you need some kind of rub or bread crumbs for frying. If you're as afraid of hot oil as I am, oven frying works. You use the bread crumbs as you would for frying, but cook in a hot oven. If you use a rub, you can cook in a less hot oven and more slowly. A rub can be almost anything. You can use the kind that come in envelopes, such as ranch dressing or chili mix. Or you can combine spices yourself.
Optional, dips. You can prepare the envelopes as you would for salad dressing or buy bottled dressing. You can add almost anything to sour cream... canned clams, carmelized onions, ...
