BUTTERMILK PECAN PIE

 

1/2   c            Butter

2       c            Sugar

2       ts           Vanilla

3                    Eggs

3       tb           Flour

1/4   ts           Salt

1       c            Buttermilk

1                    Pie shell, 9? unbaked

1/2   c            Pecans, chopped

 

Method

 

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. 

2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, adding 1/2 cup sugar at a 
time. 

3. Blend in vanilla. 

4. Add eggs, one at a time. 

5. Combine flour and salt; add small amount at a time. 

6. Add buttermilk. 

7. Sprinkle pecans in bottom of pie crust; pour custard mix over the pecans and 
bake 1 hour 30 minutes at 300 degrees. 

8. The top browns as it cooks. 

9. Best served at room temperature.
