Hi Dave, We just purchased a new dishwasher. We went to Best Buy to
look at them, and the salesman took all kinds of time, showing me all
of the tactile features of each model and really seeming to understand
my needs as a person who cannot see. We bought a Bosch dishwasher.
The controls are raised buttons on the inside edge of the dishwasher.
Ordinarily, I need to push only one button! We have had the
dishwasher for only a couple of weeks, and so far, so good! Our
dishes are clean, and I can operate the dishwasher without any
problems.

As for the fridge, I really don't think a digital display is much of a
problem with a refrigerator, but maybe I just don't know what I'm
missing <smile>
