I've never made these. But here's one with imperial measurements for you! Smart Cookies
1 cup shortening 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup white sugar 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1-1/2 cups candy-coated chocolate pieces - Smarties, Reeses Pieces, etc. Preheat the oven to 375° (190° degrees C). In a large bowl, cream together the shortening, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Finally, stir in the Smarties® or Reeses Pieces®. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the reheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. _______________________________________________ Cookinginthedark mailing list [email protected] http://acbradio.org/mailman/listinfo/cookinginthedark
