Good luck! I had a Waring from QVC that beeped, which they may or may not have any more, as I got it a few years ago. It made boat-shaped waffles, oval, not round, and one thing to note is, although it beeped at a certain point the waffles weren't necessarily done then; I found I had to leave them in till it beeped again.

So, wanting one that would make a round belgian waffle, I got the Cheffman waffle iron through Groupon goods. It doesn't beep. Also, you rotate the iron on its stand with the handle so that, according to the manual, the batter evenly distributes and cooks. It fits in my cupboard and on counter without taking up too much space. From what I read in another waffle iron manual, when no steam is coming from the sides, the waffle should be done.

         Kathy.

Subject: [CnD] waffell irons

Hello,
I am looking to get another waffle iron. I have the george Forman with the waffle iron plates. but we don't have a lot of counter space in our apartment so we would like to get a new one. I heard they make some that beep whenthe iron is hot and again when the waffle is finished. with the george Forman you have to go by time and a little guess work.
any suggestions would be helpful.
