health bars.
Today I decided to make some health bars, if one calls dry fruit healthy?
First I added 1 cup of raisins, a cup of dates as my base. From there, I added some seeds, and have no ideal of what they were, but can say it was about fourth of a cup full. I put the seeds in the food processer and pulsed away. than went in the dates and than the raisins until they formed a ball or dough. Took that out of the processer and had some mixed dried fruit, have no ideal how much and than found some dried apricots, again, have no ideal how much. Added a couple tablespoon of protein powder, just to say there is protein in them there bars. Processed them into the form of dough and threw them in the bowl with the other ball. Boy was I having fun. recipe be dam. Than I added two cups of quick oats. Kneaded the oats into the dough or ball, you name it, I can't. Than i figured that wasn't enough quick oats, so in went another half cup of oat. Well I think it was a half a cup or close to it. Well more or less, one could say. Now with all those oats, this have to be called a health bar. But not quite, for to much oats to suit me, but what the heck, some peanut butter would be just the right cure. You asked, How much peanut butter? Sorry I just don't know But the health bars felt just right. Before I found some thing else to put into this health bar. I went and got me some parchment paper and line a 9 x 14 pan and threw that ball or dough on to it and let out my frustration by leveling that ball or dough evenly to fit the form of that pan. I than covered the healthy bars with some plastic wrap, guess I shouldn't say bars quite yet. for had to place them in the refrigerator to harden up a bit, before slicing them into bars with my pizza cutter. Than I will wrap each bar into plastic wrap. Place them in a air tight container on the counter, and any time I feel I need a healthy picker upper, all I have to do is open the container and pull out a bar.

P. S. Why the parchment paper one might ask? it is so much easier to lift out of the pan this health bar on to a cutting board for the final cut.
