Crockpot beans:
What to do with left over ham?
Simple, make bean soup.
One large onion chopped
1 stalk of celery chopped
1 carrot chopped
2 cup of navy or mixed beans, soaked over night.
8 cups of water
Splash of olive oil
1 Bay leaf
a pinch of oregano. Some fresh basil
And let's not forget the ham bone.
Throw it all in the crockpot and set it on high for 1 hour and than on low
until the beans are tender. About 8 to 9 hours. You might have to add more
water, once the bone is removed from pot.
