I have not tried this one, but it sounds good and easy. It does not contain
chocolate as originally written, but you could probably mix chocolate chips
in the original recipe or substitute them for part of the chopped pecans.

Chewy Pecan Cookies
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/3 cups light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup crushed corn flakes
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350F.
Cream together shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Add dry ingredients and mix well.
Roll into 2 inch balls bake at 350F for about 9-11 minutes.
